She earned her BA from St. John\u2019s College, her MFA from Sarah Lawrence College, and a fellowship from the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts. Her nonfiction has received recognition from <em>New Letters<\/em>, <em>The Missouri Review<\/em>, and the Maryland State Arts Council.
